Conversion Rate Calculator
Conversion rate is the percentage of visitors who complete a desired action — a purchase, form submission, or sign-up. The formula is (Conversions ÷ Sessions) × 100. This calculator gives you your current CVR, compares it against industry benchmarks, and shows you exactly how much additional revenue each percentage point of improvement is worth.

Calculate your CVR and see the revenue impact of improving it
How to Use This Calculator
- Enter your monthly sessions — use your analytics platform (GA4, Shopify, or your server logs). Sessions-based CVR matches most industry benchmarks.
- Enter your monthly conversions — the number of completed purchases, form submissions, or sign-ups (your primary conversion event).
- Enter your average order value — optional, but required to see revenue impact projections. For lead gen, use average deal value.
- Select your industry — the calculator compares your CVR against the industry average and shows how much revenue 10%, 25%, 50%, and 100% improvements would be worth.
What Your Results Mean
The calculator shows your CVR against the industry benchmark and — if you entered an AOV — projects the incremental revenue from improving it. These projections assume all other variables (traffic, AOV) stay constant.
A 10% relative improvement (e.g. from 2.0% to 2.2%) is a realistic target from a single focused optimization. A 25–50% improvement is achievable from a structured 3–6 month CRO programme. A 100% improvement (doubling your CVR) is the benchmark for a mature, test-led programme — it represents what the top performers in our case study data achieve over 6–18 months.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do you calculate conversion rate?
Conversion rate = (Conversions ÷ Sessions) × 100. If 250 people out of 10,000 visitors completed a purchase, CVR = 2.5%. Use sessions (not unique users) to align with standard e-commerce benchmarks from Shopify and IRP Commerce.
What is a good conversion rate?
E-commerce: 2.5–3.0% average; 4%+ top quartile; 6%+ top decile. SaaS free trial pages: 3–8% average; 15%+ top tier. Lead gen landing pages: 5–15% average; 30%+ exceptional. Your own baseline trend matters most — focus on improving your rate, not matching arbitrary benchmarks.
How much is a 1% conversion rate improvement worth?
Extra monthly revenue = Sessions × 0.01 × AOV. A site with 10,000 monthly sessions and €80 AOV gains €8,000/month from a 1-point CVR lift. Annualized that is €96,000 — from the same traffic spend.
Why is my conversion rate low?
Most commonly: checkout friction (unexpected costs, forced account creation), insufficient trust signals near the CTA, unclear value proposition in the headline, or mismatched traffic. A CRO audit surfaces the specific blockers for your site with estimated revenue impact per fix.
